How to Check the Oil in Your Toyota

That valuable fluid bears many responsibilities, such as lubricating and cooling the powertrain. Getting Ready
Before checking your Toyota’s oil, take a few minutes to prepare so you get an accurate reading. Make sure the vehicle is turned off and has had time to cool down, or at least hasn’t been running recently. That way, the liquid can make its way back to the reservoir, and the vehicle can cool down, lowering your chance of getting burned. Clean oil is typically amber or light brown and smooth in texture.
